2024 Interim Election
October 2024
October 9:
- 4:30pm: Valley East Area Meeting. Elections Committee member announces the election process to fill open NEA Board of Directors position. The winning candidate will serve the remainder of the current term that ends June 30, 2025. (Valley East Area Meetings are held at Pacoima MS.)
- 6:30pm: candidates may declare their candidacy for the open position by submitting a digital Declaration of Candidacy Form for the Interim Valley East NEA Director on this website.
November 2024
November 8: 5:00pm Deadline for the Declaration of Candidacy Form for the Interim Valley East NEA Director are due. The Itinerant Assignments Declaration Form for itinerant educators in Valley East wanting to vote in the interim election are also due.
November 13: Valley East Area Meeting Election is held at 4:30pm, after statements from all candidates, during the meeting. (Area leadership agreed upon timeframe.) Results are tallied and verified, and winner is announced via email and notice on this website’s Results page.
