At the April 2, 2025, Central Area Meeting, the UTLA Elections Committee has announced that there is a vacancy for the Central Area NEA Board of Director position open in Central Area, that will be filled in a special election to be held at the Central Area Meeting on May 7, 2025.
Candidates may declare their intent to run after the April 2, 2025 Area Meeting digitally by completing the Declaration of Candidacy for Interim Director form. Only nominations submitted online will be accepted. Candidates must have been a member in good standing for 24 months prior to April 2, 2025. The deadline for declarations is Friday, May 2, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.
The special election will be held at the Central Area Meeting on May 7, 2025, after the candidates have given a brief presentation. The results will be verified and posted on this website.
This is a special election that only affects UTLA Central Area.
