The UTLA Elections Manual — available at utlaelections.org/information/election-manual/ — was revised by the UTLA Board of Directors at the May 21, 2025 meeting. The changes clarify who is qualified to vote in an Interim Area Director election. The BOD also addressed the need for a process for a candidate who lost the election who believes that something may have unfairly affected the results of the election. (See Appendix II, 8 and 10.).
In addition the candidates process for submitting their flyer for the Chapter Chair flyer mailing was revised to streamline the submission process. Article VI Campaign Materials, Section D., Clause 5, Subclause b. (page 8).
