Forum for Citywide Officer Candidates

On Monday evening, January 30th, the Elections Committee sponsored a Forum for Citywide Officer Candidates. All seventeen Citywide Officer candidates participated. The purpose of the forum was to allow members to have a chance to get to know the candidates.

Several UTLA members responded to the Elections Committee’s request for suggested questions for the candidates. The Elections Committee considered theses suggestions when developing the final questions that candidates were asked. Candidates were asked about the most important challenges that the various groups in UTLA face, how they would address those challenge, how to engage and keep members post Janus, and their vision for what they would want to work toward going forward if elected.
