Digital Photo/Headshot

  • Submit your photo (JPEG or PNG format) electronically using the form below. Those who submit their photo before the deadline will be posted as soon as they are received.
  • The photo should be a front-facing, high-resolution headshot, not too tightly cropped on the face. We may need to resize photos to fit the allotted space. Photo must be of the candidate only and must not show logos of our affiliates (CFT, CTA, AFT, and NEA).
  • A clear, well-lit headshot taken on a smartphone should work. Normally candidates submit a color photo, but you may submit a black and white photo if you wish.
  • 5mb maximum file size
  • JPG, JPEG, or PNG format

Digital Flyer

  • 8.5″ x 11″ paper size
  • Single-sided
  • Color or black-and-white
  • PDF format
  • 5mb maximum file size; to compress a big PDF, consider using Adobe.com‘s free web-based tool
  • All campaign literature distributed by, or for, a candidate shall include the following statement: “The information herein represents the views and opinions of the candidates and does not necessarily represent or reflect the opinions of UTLA.”
  • Campaign materials distributed by the candidate, or by anyone else, shall not have printed upon them, the UTLA, CTA/NEA, CFT/AFT, or AFL- CIO logo. (Exempt from this requirement are signs, pins, stickers, buttons, pictures, t-shirts, hats, and other materials worn by individuals, which appear in photographs.)
  • Review the Election Manual for other restrictions
  • Flyers that do not meet all of the above requirements, including meeting the deadline, will not be posted.

Form

    You're welcome to submit one file at a time (e.g. photo now, flyer later), but you can only send in one file per type total (e.g. no multiple versions, no replacements/updates, etc.).
