UTLA Central Area will hold the election to fill their vacant NEA Director position at the Wednesday, May 7th Area Meeting. Voting will begin after the meeting starts and the candidates introduce themselves to the body once the meeting begins around 4:30 pm. The three candidates are Linda Cardwell, Estela Rios, and Joyce Jennings. Substitutes and Itinerant teachers who filled out the itinerant Assignments Declaration Form before the deadline with a Central Area designation will also be able to vote.
